"Let's get children singing"!

About Us

Rancho de Los Amigo (RDLA) or "Ranch of the Friends" was founded by Augustus Evans Noland (Gus) and Margaret D. Noland (Peggy)  as a California Non-Profit Corporation in 1969. The mission was to reach California's youth with music and the arts with an emphasis on choral music and singing.

In 1994 Gus and Peggy  fulfilled a life long dream by establishing the Sierra Mountain Music Camp.  The camp brings students, directors and counselors from  Northern California together each summer for one week of music intensive camp.  The camp extends for one week in the mountains outside of Nevada City California. For more information about SMMC go to www.sierramountainmusiccamp.org.

SMMC now boasts its own 501(c)(3) and RDLA continues to exist as a California Foundation for Music, Youth and the Arts.  RDLA currently provides small grants for organizations and persons who are serving youth; in many cases "at-risk" youth.
